ASSURE fellows will have lunch and have an opportunity to interact with the speaker (Michael Burton, PhD, Eugene McDermot Professor, Assistant Professor, Department of Neuroscience, University of Texas – Dallas) in a small roundtable setting. The speaker will provide a general background on who they are, how they decided to pursue a career in research, and what their journey has looked like from undergraduate to their current position. They will provide a broad view of the pursuits and questions their labs are tackling. This interaction will only be accessible to ASSURE scholars, providing an opportunity to openly converse with the invitee.
